How I test e-bikes
I'm Will, and I've been reviewing e-bikes on camera at ALL Electric on YouTube since 2015. So far I've ridden and filmed 67 of the e-bikes on this site.
The ride
- I ride every bike myself, on my own streets and trails, and film it. Each review here is built from that video, and every review page shows the date the video went up on YouTube.
- I'm about 6'1" and 200 lb. That matters when you read my range and hill notes.
- When I measure range, I list it as "My tested range" with the conditions, like throttle only or hilly roads. If I didn't measure it, I don't guess.
The numbers
- Specs are rewritten from the manufacturer's listing and checked against what I saw on the ride. If something isn't verified, I mark it with a dash.
- The AEB Score is spec-based, so every bike is measured with the same yardstick. My opinions are in the written verdict, not the score.
- Bikes I haven't ridden are clearly marked "Not ridden by Will" and are never top picks in a buying guide.
The photos
Photos on this site are frames from my own videos, not brand or stock photos.
Who pays for what
