Should you buy one?
I tested these two fat-tire bikes for several weeks (0:07 to 0:13). I filmed both in one video, so I’m covering them together here.
Buy the Multijoy Spaniel if you want a big, rugged hardtail you can load with gear for camping or hunting (1:30 to 1:45). It has a 750W rear hub, 4 inch tires, a big headlight, a color display, 5 levels of pedal assist and a throttle that works from zero (0:38 to 1:15). It was much more comfortable for me to pedal (4:51 to 5:05).
Skip the Meebike Gallop unless you’re shorter or mostly ride on throttle. It looks like a moped (3:38 to 3:51), but at about 200 lb I found the motor too weak to push me forward quickly (3:21 to 4:13). The seat sits so close to the pedals that pedaling was uncomfortable for me at 6’1” (5:21 to 5:37).
The deciding factor: if I had to buy one, I’d get the Multijoy (4:49 to 4:57).

What I didn’t test
I didn’t run range, top-speed, or braking tests on either bike, and I didn’t weigh them. The 40 and 70 mile Spaniel figures are what I read from the brand in the video. I didn’t confirm either price.
Who it’s for
- Spaniel: riders who want to carry gear off-road (1:30 to 1:45); taller riders who want to pedal (5:15 to 5:21).
- Gallop: shorter riders who like the moped look (5:21 to 5:25); anyone who wants a seat with room for a passenger, though that’s subject to local laws (2:27 to 2:31).
Who should look elsewhere
- Spaniel: anyone who needs a small bike; it’s very big (2:03 to 2:08).
- Gallop: heavier riders who want quick acceleration (4:04 to 4:13); tall riders who pedal (5:28 to 5:37).
- Gallop: anyone who moves the bike with the kickstand down; the pedal hits the stand (5:40 to 6:08).

FAQ
Which one would I buy?
The Multijoy. It does more and it’s far more comfortable to pedal (4:49 to 5:05).
Does the Gallop’s torque sensor help?
Not for me. It’s a step in the right direction, but because the seat sits so close to the pedals, I ended up riding it like a moped on throttle (2:31 to 2:44, 5:05 to 5:11).
What would fix the Gallop?
A stronger motor. I said a 1,000W motor, or a second motor up front, would help with the heavy steel frame (4:21 to 4:37).
Price
I couldn’t confirm a current price for either bike: both brand pages failed to load on Oct 23, 2026. Dealer listings for the Gallop ranged from $1,299 to $1,999.
